Real Chemistry has acquired Spurwing Communications, Earned First can reveal, giving the world's biggest healthcare communications firm its first hub in Asia-Pacific.

Launched 11 years ago by founder Emma Thompson, Spurwing's approximately 12-strong team will retain its existing leadership and team under MD Emma Jenkins-Lee, with the name changing to Real Chemistry over time.

Thompson becomes president of Asia-Pacific growth at Real Chemistry, reporting to Kath Harrison, the firm's group president of international growth in Dubai. "APAC is fast becoming one of the most dynamic and strategically important regions for healthcare innovation and access to life-improving therapies," Harrison said.
