Amazon consolidates India PR with two firms
Weber Shandwick and Avian WE have been selected following a competitive review.
Amazon India has consolidated its corporate and consumer PR assignments with two firms following a competitive review, Earned First can reveal.
The ecommerce giant has selected Weber Shandwick to handle communications for its corporate and operations activity, which include sustainability and CSR, workplace, executive comms, policy, issues and Amazon Pay. In addition, Avian WE will continue to oversee Amazon's consumer PR mandate.
The two firms were chosen after a pitch that featured as many as eight PR firms, including fellow Amazon India incumbents Adfactors and Burson. Prime Video and Amazon Web Services were not included in this review, which nevertheless ranks as one of India's biggest PR remits.
