Omnicom PR Group CEO Chris Foster has warned that the PR industry’s biggest firms must rethink how they grow, as structural and technological pressures reshape the communications landscape.

Foster made the comments during the PRAXIS India Weekend event in Dehradun on Saturday, during an onstage interview in which he discussed agency transformation against a tough economic backdrop, which is further punctuated by a shifting competitive environment, the impact of AI, and — not least — the looming acquisition of Interpublic Group by Omnicom.
