ICCO's PR in Cannes event helped provide a natural focal point for the communications sector during the 2026 Cannes Lions. A special roundtable, supported by Kaizzen, brought together five senior voices from across the PR and research industries to discuss what the group termed "the era of relationship capital", exploring how trust is migrating from institutions to networks in an increasingly febrile information landscape.

The session drew on ICCO's World PR Report 25/26, which argues that as geopolitical tension, AI-driven disruption and societal fragmentation erode trust in institutions, the relationships organisations hold with clients, partners, employees and communities become a correspondingly more valuable, and more measurable, form of capital.
