Tim Dyson retires from Next 15

Tim Dyson is retiring as Next 15 CEO, 33 years after becoming CEO of pioneering tech PR firm Text 100. He will be succeeded by Sam Knights, currently CEO of Shopper Media Group.

Dyson's tenure included the global growth of the Text 100 group (now known as Archetype), which was listed in London in 1999 before repositioning as the Next 15 holding group and acquiring numerous PR, digital and data consultancies — including US players M Booth, Outcast and Nectar. In 2022, the company added UK consultancy MHP as part of its deal to acquire Engine Group.

In recent years, much of the focus has been on digital and data-led firms. Next 15's most recently reported revenues stood at £569.7m after a single-digit decline in 2024. The group issued a profit warning this morning, attributed to issues at its Mach 49 acquisition, along with investment in new capabilities and currency movements.

Dyson's retirement, which also sees him stand down from the board, comes after Next 15 CFO Peter Harris also stepped down earlier this year, replaced by Mickey Khalifa.
